a studio session with Macs

I wanted to share a fun session I had back in October.  I’m truly thankful for everyone that chooses me to document a special time in there life.  Its also very humbling when another photographer calls you and says (you work well with our kiddos)  Kasandra brought her son Macs in for a session.  He really wanted to wear his spiderman shirt,  and like any good mother Kasandra let him have it on for a couple shots.  It took a couple minutes for Macs to warm up.  But once mom left the camera room we had some fun.  Macs got a skate board for his fourth birthday,  which was a great addition to the portrait session.  Its alway a treat to capture all of child’s fun expressions.

Throwback Thursday 2.0

This week we are going to look at some family pictures I did a while back.  The Wasson family was so much fun to shoot.  These images have this fun fall feeling to them.

Family pictures are really important to get every couple years or so.  Especially, when you have young kids.  I like to show the relationships that are formed between family members and really capture that essence in the photos.  The best way to use these family photos is not only to document, but to show the playfulness, stubbornness, shyness, etc. in the photos.  Be on the look out for family sessions in October.

I know our studio is known for photographing weddings.
However, don’t overlook our full service studio! We do many family and children sessions. It’s always a honor and pleasure to photograph  wedding clients’ new additions to their families. Clara & Adam have a beautiful baby girl, Taytum. As you can tell she loves    Winnie the Pooh.

Baby Rourke

For those we haven’t had the chance to tell yet: We’re expecting!! Baby Rourke is due in February 2012.

The two of us had been discussing fun ways to reveal our baby’s gender to our family and friends.  Last weekend, our friend Paula Guerrero told us about a image she saw on Pinterest.  We couldn’t help but borrow the idea!  Special thanks to our friend Lisa Prosterman who helped with the logistics of our photo shoot.

We’ve had our parents on pins and needles so without further ado….
