Throwback Thursday 2.0

This week we are going to look at some family pictures I did a while back.  The Wasson family was so much fun to shoot.  These images have this fun fall feeling to them.

Family pictures are really important to get every couple years or so.  Especially, when you have young kids.  I like to show the relationships that are formed between family members and really capture that essence in the photos.  The best way to use these family photos is not only to document, but to show the playfulness, stubbornness, shyness, etc. in the photos.  Be on the look out for family sessions in October.

The Blushing Bride

We recently teamed up with Blush Bridal for a fun and creative shoot.  We wanted to do something different and a little more non-traditional.  For the first set of pictures we went for more of a natural, open country feel and the second set of pictures we went for more of an urban feel.

I really love how the images turned out and I think with both the style of the dresses and the accessories really played into the look we were trying to achieve.

Overall, the shoot was awesome.  We had a great day and some wonderful lighting that allowed us to capture more dramatic and emotional images.  Sometimes it is nice to do something a little more out-of-the-box and creative and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I want to thank Blush Bridal for collaborating on this shoot.

Many people helped with this shoot.  Jenna Mosier from Eve A was the hair stylist, Lindsey from Elle Esthetics designed the make-up, and Princess Lasertron and Ibloom provided the beautiful bouquets.  The hair pieces are from Ruby and Cordelia, J Picone (two pieces), and Meg Jewerly. JLM Blush produced the lace dress and the tea length dress is made by Justin Alexander.

Check out Blush Bridal’s blog.  They comment on these images as well!
